Can I Use My Savings for the D7?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Savings are a mandatory requirement for both the D7 and D8, not just a nice-to-have. Both visas require a minimum of 12\u00d7 the national minimum wage (plus dependent add-ons) in a bank account – currently \u20ac11,040 for a single applicant, \u20ac16,560 for a couple, and higher with children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note that for the D8, the savings requirement is still based on the minimum wage, not on the higher D8 income threshold. So while the income bar is much higher, the savings requirement is the same as the D7.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
